Good Day Good People, Day One with KUAFIt's finally here! Our first feature on an episode with Ozarks at Large on KUAF 91.3 FM drops today. Yesterday we did an interview segment with Kyle Kellams on OAL - our new abbreviation for Ozarks at Large which will be used from now on. We discussed the genesis of the podcast and how and why we cover ALL of the topics that we do. We even discuss politics and religion which will be the first and last time you hear me do that. ;-) If you listen to the episode you will understand why. Let us know what you think about Monday's episode. Moving forward every Tuesday Kyle will take an excerpt from a current episode or something from the archives and share on OAL. Who knows, you may even get acquainted with a missed episode courtesy of KUAF. Please tune in to OAL on KUAF 91.3 either at Noon or 7 PM, Monday thru Friday or check out the podcast which drops after the Noon show. Try, try, again...We participated in the EforAll Pitch competition last week at the Jones Center. We'll kind of. We had a table at the ev ent and talked with a ton of folks that came out that evening about ONBoardNWA.com the hyper-local job board that we are working on. In order for us to pitch we needed to either be chosen as the most voted on idea at the competition or be the wildcard. We didn't make it. There were a lot of great business ideas shared that evening. It just reminded me of the fertile ground that Northwest Arkansas represents to new and existing businesses. Anything is possible. We didn't get discouraged by not being picked. Actually, our resolve is even stronger to see ONBoardNWA.com come to life. If you want to see, our rough pitch idea feel free to click the link above. We are still working out the kinks, but we have plans to get the actual job board off the ground in the next 90 days or so. Stay tuned for more information. Recent Artifacts
The weather is improving on a daily basis and we Spring forward this Sunday (3/12). Be sure to turn your clocks forward one-hour on Saturday night. In case YOU missed it:
We want to thank Signature Bank and The Northwest Arkansas Council for sponsoring I am Northwest Arkansas in 2023. On a lighter note:Thanks to everyone who shared their resources for local events here in Northwest Arkansas. It seems that there is no shortage of places to get up-to-date information. We were reminded of the importance of connecting with our local Chambers of Commerce, NWA Facebook Groups, AY Magazine, and Macaroni Kids. We will keep compiling this list. If you like Old School Rap with lyrics that you can actually understand you will be happy to know that De La Soul is now available on Apple Music. It only took 9 years and countless lawsuits for this to happen and it didn't come soon enough since one of the founding members, Trugoy the Dove, passed away recently. "Three is the Magic Number!" Finally:That's all we have for now. Enjoy the rest of your week, and remember to keep moving forward. Train don't Try! Peace & Love |
