And So It Begins?

The weekly newsletter from the I am Northwest Arkansas Podcast. We cover the intersection of Business, Culture, Entrepreneurship, and Life right here in the Ozarks.

We are happy to share that we just recorded our first podcast episode in the KUAF 91.3 Studios this week. We spent a little time familiarizing ourselves with their equipment and facilities and now we are off to the races.

We will still record episodes at the Center for Innovation at the FPL and as always we will record on site with our guests in their own environment when necessary.

We are excited about the future of this podcast and the stories we get to tell.

Have you told a friend about us?

One of our many projects is an idea that we have for a Hyper-Local job site.

There are more than 10,000 open positions here in Northwest Arkansas.

Jobs of all types.

Big companies in our area can fend for themselves but it's the small to medium size companies that are having a hard time attracting talent successfully. We know that we have a great place to live but for those of us looking for great talent we still have to sell them on our culture, people, workplace, and positions.

Our new job board, OnBoardNWA is going to do just that.

Join us at the Jones Center tomorrow night to learn more. Click the EforAll link below to learn more.

Recent artifacts

There is so much happening in Northwest Arkansas in March. If you have an event that you are a part of and would like to see it posted here please let us know.

Thanks for all of those that came out and supported our table at the BlackOwned NWA Black Expo. We had a blast and made a ton of new friends. We even met a couple with their two beautiful children that recently moved here from Colorado and the podcast was instrumental in convincing them that this is a great place to raise a family.

Stories like this make the hard work worthwhile.

Thank You!

In case you missed it:

We want to thank Signature Bank and The Northwest Arkansas Council for sponsoring I am Northwest Arkansas in 2023.

On a lighter note:

We are curious to know where you go for your event information here in Northwest Arkansas? I know a lot of folks mention Axios NWA and NWA Daily and down here in Fayetteville people love the Flyer.

What are some other good resources for keeping up with local events from Fayetteville to Bentonville and beyond?

Shout Out! to Kelly Robbins and Clint Schaff for being the first to respond to last weeks question about Top 5 Things to do here in Northwest Arkansas. We realize this is a purely subjective question but its always cool to see what people like to do around here.

Kelly said she enjoys biking, checking out the art scene, fun for the foodies, live music, and networking.

Clint said he enjoys live music, stroller walks with his baby on the Bentonville Greenway, Volunteering, Food Scene, and the Arts both Museum's and Theatres - I'm looking at you Momentary and T2!

Finally:

That's all we have for this week. We seemed to have some 70 degree days to enjoy. Soon DST will be here and we will have our daylight evenings back.

Can't Wait!

Peace and Love,
